This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which ReviewControl collects, uses, maintains and discloses personal information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the website (“Site”), clients and customers of our customers, as well as others providing online reviews of our customers (“Reviewers”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by ReviewControl.

Personal information
We may collect personal information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, subscribe to the newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. We also collect personal information of Reviewers directly (such as through the use of customer satisfaction surveys and feedback forms) and through third-party publicly available review websites.

Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

We collect any information publicly posted about our customers by Reviewers, including information such as name, location, service obtained, product purchased, health information, financial information, gender, religion, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation or identity, and any other information Reviewers choose to post.

Web browser cookies

Mobile Apps
When you download and use our services, we automatically collect information on the type of device you use and operating system version.

We may send you push notifications from time-to-time in order to update you about any events or promotions that we may be running. If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications, you may turn them off at the device level. To ensure you receive proper notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device such as operating system and user identification information.

We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Mobile Software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from.

We automatically collect data about how you use and interact with our Services, which we use to improve our Services and enhance your experience.

ReviewControl collects and uses Users personal information for the following purposes:

Users of Our Services

  • To communicate with you – We may use personal information to respond to communications from you. Send you reminders, technical notices, updates, security alerts and support and administrative messages, service bulletins, or marketing; To report Industry Trends – We may anonymize information from reviews that we aggregate for you as well as your User information in order to report industry trends and further analysis to other Users.
  • To improve and personalize user experience- We may collect and use information to understand how our Users use and interact with the services and resources provided on our Site so we can improve your experience.
  • To improve our Site- We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
  • To improve customer service- Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
  • To process transactions- We may use the information Users provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
  • To administer a content, promotion, survey or other Site feature- To send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.
  • To send periodic emails – The email address Users provide for order processing, will only be used to send them information and updates pertaining to their order. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.   • If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

This is one of the many services offered to our customers. If our customer subscribes to this service, we will use your personal information only to respond to you and for no other purpose.
  • To send content, promotions, surveys or other products at the request of our customers- To send customers information, promotions, surveys, and other products on behalf of our customers.

  • With our customers – We disclose the information we collect about Reviewers from third-party publicly available review websites and from customer satisfaction or feedback forms.
  • To process transactions- We may use the information Users provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
  • To our affiliates third party services providers and partners who provide data processing services to us (for example, to support the delivery of, provide functionality on, or help to enhance the security of our Site or Service), or who otherwise process personal information for purposes that are described in this Privacy Policy or notified to you when we collect your personal information.

You can log in to the Site using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect, Google or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain Personal Data with us, such as your name and email address, to pre-populate our sign up form. When you provide ReviewControl access to your account on these services, we will collect relevant information necessary to enable us to access that social media service, however you will provide your login information, like your password, directly to such service (and not to ReviewControl).

The Site may also contain features that enable various third-party services (such as social media services like Facebook) to be directly integrated into your ReviewControl account. To take advantage of these features, you may be required to register for or log into such third-party services on their respective websites. By enabling third party services within the Site, you are allowing ReviewControl to pass your log-in information to these third-party services for this purpose.

Services like Facebook Connect and others give you the option to post information about your activities on the Site to your profile page to share with others within your network. You should take care to monitor and control what information these other websites and services collect and make public about you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites and any information you post on these sites are governed by the privacy policy or practices and terms of service of that site.

Your Choices
Information Collected from you.

It is optional for you to provide us with information. Depending on the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some is identified as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory information for a particular activity that requires it, you will not be permitted to engage in that activity.

Information Collected from Our Business Customers

We may receive personal information from our Business Customers for use in their marketing efforts. If our Business Customers are using our platform in this manner, they are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, including TCPA and CAN-SPAM. Please contact the Business Customer regarding its privacy practices if you have any questions or concerns.

You can opt-out of receiving future promotional email messages from ReviewTrackers by following the opt-out instructions provided in any such message you receive. Please note that it may take up to ten (10) days to process your request. Please also be aware that we may continue to send you transactional and administrative communications, such as emails confirming your transactions with us.

SMS/Text Messages

Ad Measurement, Conversion Tracking, and Online Behavioral Advertising
Ads appearing on our site may be delivered to Users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. Site usage by minors
Protecting the privacy children is especially important. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information at our Site from those under 13 years old, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13 years old.

Data Retention Period

Do Not Track

Special Category Personal Data.  “Special Category Data” is any data that reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious, moral or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, political views, the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of identifying a person, and data concerning health or a person’s sex life and/or sexual orientation. While Review Trackers does not intend to collect Special Category Data, any information publicly posted by Reviewers on third-party websites may be collected, including data that may be classified as Special Category Data.

Transfers of Personal Information

Personal data that we collect or receive may be transferred to and/or processed by third parties that are located outside of the EU, EEA, or UK, some of which EU, EEA and UK authorities may not consider to have an adequate level of protection for personal data. Review Trackers will only transfer data subject’s personal data to third parties located outside of the EU, EEA, and UK when it has ensured appropriate safeguards for such personal data through use of the standard contractual clauses or other approved methods by the EU, EEA, and UK.

Additional Disclosures regarding the Collection of Personal Data from Third Party Sources. We collect personal data of Reviewers through publicly available review websites for the purpose of analyzing our customers’ review histories and information about our customers. Where we collect this data, we rely on our legitimate interest in helping our customers understand the review information that is publicly posted about them. The scope of such personal data is any data that Reviewers choose to post in their public reviews, and we share such data with our customers in connection with providing our services to them. If we receive any lawful request from Reviewers exercising their individual rights, we will respond as set forth in the section above titled “Your Rights and Choices.”
